Tatarian Aster

The sun's low rays in fall highlight the late-blooming lavender and gold flowers of this fabulous but mostly undiscovered perennial. Monarchs simply love it and alight on the ample clusters of lavender daisies, but you need to look up to see them, for this is one tall, strong, and statuesque aster. It grows well in varied soils and almost all hardiness zones, for it is incredibly hardy and heat and humidity-tolerant.
