Painted Tongue 'Black Trumpets'

Once called Velvet Trumpet, fitting, as this selection has shorn velvet dark mahogany petals dotted inside the tubular blooms with yellow pollen from the outward curving stamens. Tall, willowy, and graceful, it is best in groupings with hay mulch around the established plants to keep the soil cool.
