Globe Amaranth 'Salmon Pastel'

Thomas Jefferson planted the species gomphrena in 1737, and ever since it has been in gardens, valued for its reliable bloom and unique flowers. As summer's heat comes on, globe everlasting grows by leaps and bounds. Soon it is covered in clover-blossom blooms in ever-increasing numbers until summer is but a memory, and heavy frost covers the last flowers in glistening white.
